The Technische Wetenschapswinkel Gezondheidszorg (TWG) offers solutions for people with a handicap or specific practical problems when no standard solution is available. For example: You can think of small stairs for mothers unable to lift their child on the backseat of their bicycle,  or an eyedropper for eldery people who cannot administer the eye drops themselves.

TWG now also focuses on services for SME’s. They can carry out feasibility studies for new applications, design a product and more. All projects are carried out by students from the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) under supervision of a member of the scientific staff. Because of the association with the TU/e they can guarantee a high level of knowledge and furthermore they have access to the high quality research laboratories of the university.

When you decide to work with TWG, you will have the advantage of low research costs and the so called ‘innovation vouchers’ can also be used. These vouchers are issued by Senter Novem (www.senternovem.nl/innovatievouchers/index.asp) to stimulate the transfer of knowledge from universities to SME’s.
